From June 21 to 24, the world's most important textile industry exhibition - Heimtextil-International Trade Fair for Home and Contract Textiles Summer Special Exhibition (referred to as Heimtextil Frankfurt) was held in Frankfurt, Germany. This was the first time that the exhibition was held offline in the two years since the outbreak of the epidemic.

Unlike previous exhibitions, this Heimtextil was also held jointly with the Exhibition of Industrial Textiles and Nonwovens and the Exhibition of Textile and Flexible Material Sewing and Processing for the first time, attracting about 2300 exhibitors from 63 countries and regions, and the audience was expected to exceed 70000 person-times. The exhibition covered the whole textile industry chain, from raw materials such as fiber and yarn to textile fabrics and functional fabrics, as well as textile technology and finishing processing. In addition, it also included areas such as textile decoration and recyclable products. Exhibitors and buyers can learn the popular trends and innovative technologies of the whole textile industry chain at one time, achieving the effect of efficient viewing.

It is understood that sustainability is the focus of this Heimtextil. Centering on the green concept, the exhibition took "the next horizon" as the theme, focused on the future furniture layout through the booth built with environmentally friendly materials, revealing the popular colors and cutting-edge materials in the next few quarters from the depth of nature, beyond nature, beyond identity and enabling identity, deeply discussed the composition of textiles, and encouraged the industry to think long-term.

"The pollution problem in the textile industry has always affected the hearts of the whole industry. The demand for sustainable and environmental protection development runs through the entire textile value chain and has given birth to many innovative forces in this process. Heimtextil Frankfurt, as the bellwether of the international home textile industry, has focused on this topic for over ten years, showing the industry all kinds of professional knowledge and cutting-edge products about green textile, providing an exchange platform and industry inspiration. The exhibition also shows that sustainability is no longer a future trend, but has become a normal consciousness rooted in this industry and develops continuously through innovation. " Said Wenting, senior general manager of Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd.

In hall 3 of the Frankfurt Exhibition Center, the specially opened Green Village area attracted people's attention. Exhibitors and buyers can approach the green official logo authorization agency and environmental protection certification agency here to obtain first-hand information on green development. In addition, Messe Frankfurt had also created the Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) area. In the SDG area, buyers can find the manufacturers of sustainable fabrics and detailed product information through the green directory. Exhibitors of environmentally friendly products and technologies were equipped with significant green marks to facilitate buyers' efficient positioning.

In the Denim Future Lab activities in hall 80, environmental issues were also included, including how to be more environmentally friendly in the production process of denim products. For example, companies with innovative technologies and ideas showed the audience the environmental bleaching, environmental dyeing process, personalized design, and post-treatment process of high-end denim products involved in the production process of jeans. In addition, in the guest exchange corner, greenwashing, the selection of chemicals, and the use of cotton and other fibers in the production process were also discussed.

As a major manufacturer and exporter of the traditional textile industry, the Chinese textile industry has also overcome the challenges of the epidemic. In the past two years, it has set up a Chinese exhibition group to participate abroad for the first time, with nearly 50 enterprises participating. In the Asian exhibition area of hall 6, the booth of textile enterprises from Shandong, Zhejiang, Shanghai, Jiangsu, Hebei, and other places in China was crowded with buyers from all over the world. Many Chinese exhibitors told reporters that during the exhibition, many old customers were particularly excited to see the Chinese exhibitors they had not seen for a long time, and the inquiry and trading volume were also satisfactory. An exhibitor in Qingdao, Shandong Province, showed the business card book to the reporter, which had been pasted with the buyer's information in just one and a half days.

"As long as you come out, you will reap." An exhibitor from Shanghai said confidently.
